Happy Easter Everyone!
I am sure there is plenty (read: too much) chocolate to go around, so to counterbalance I am making this light and fruity recipe for dessert (suggested to me by a colleague), and also produced some anti-choc cupcakes:
oops! I lied! there is chocolate on them :-) |

Chicks and Chocolate
For Earth Day on Friday I made some Easter baskets out of old coffee tins, to do my little bit of re-using for the planet, but also for the sheer joy of filling them with chocolate.
This....
Became these:
My cousin also had an Easter-themed making session with my mum and produced the most fantastic piece of couture millinery I have ever seen:
She has such a talent for making things and a great eye for fashion - even at her tender age.
Well, Happy Easter everyone! I'm off to go egg-hunting.

Easter Mini Album
I actually took a little bag of paper and glue and things with me on holiday, but I didn't get much done. I managed to cover the inside pages of this little freebie album, but that was all. So I've just been working on getting it finished - the point of it was to use mostly old and/or free things, although a few new and not free embellishments did creep in. The album itself was a magazine freebie, as were the papers, and the ribbon was from easter chocolate boxes. Other free stuff included donations from my mum, an egg carton, and some stickers. I'll be working on a few full pages soon to do justice to the amazing scenery we captured on camera.

Hunting for Eggs
Easter Bunnies Invade:
We've planned an Easter egg hunt...
I've written the clues as if they were from the Easter bunny himself, and 'weathered' the tags a bit for 'authenticity'. Then I've stamped various spring-y images onto the tags and little boxes I made:
These aren't the eggs... no, they will most definitely be made of chocolate. These are some egg decorations:

Easter Fun
It goes without saying that Easter is an opportunity for crafting. I'm working on the essentials of an Easter egg hunt at the moment, but as a taster I'm uploading the card I have made for my husband-to-be. His ideas about tattoos, designs, logos and artwork have inspired me to use the negative space of an egg shape to act as a frame for my stamp-tastic display (thanks to the Sassafras Lass Head in the Clouds collection).
I love these stamps - I carried on stamping on the envelope:

Spring has Sprung (and almost gone)
Tweet tweet! Little shapes can make greater things...as these little birds show. Simple pen 'inline' (as opposed to outline) gives a good effect too. Pretty, brightly coloured cards for the season - and any occasion.
